Scholarship applications usually open several months in advance and close a month out from the conference. Once they are open, we recommend applying as soon as you are able.
Who can apply for a scholarship?
Horizons is primarily supported by registration sales, so the scholarship program is limited to those who simply cannot attend without a scholarship.
The scholarship program is open to everyone in need-- not just students or medical professionals.
We do prioritize applicants with a clear goal of service to a larger community, which we understand can take many forms.
Yes, we award scholarships to people who have never been to a conference before, and to people who are new to this field.
What does the scholarship include?
All scholarship registrations include admission to the 3-day conference.
Some scholarship recipients may also be offered workshops.
Unfortunately, our scholarship program is not adequately funded to provide travel, lodging, or meal support.
