Sandeep Nayak, MD is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Medical Director at the Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research. After completing his medical degree at Brown University and residency in psychiatry at Johns Hopkins, he completed a two-year research fellowship under Roland Griffiths focusing on the safety and efficacy of psilocybin. His research primarily focuses on clinical trials of psychedelics for psychiatric conditions, particularly substance use disorders. However, his work also spans diverse topics such as adverse effects, the contributions of psychotherapy, metaphysical belief changes and novel statistical methods in psychedelic clinical trials.
